Emma's first dance recital

Emma's first dance recital arrived and was held at Reagan High School.  There was almost nothing but a sea of tutus.

Emma had rehearsal the Thursday before the recital so I was lucky enough to have one of our sitters over, Mackenzie, as she did her bun for me.  I am delinquent in the hair department.  Poor Emma..she is well aware of my lack of hairdo experience.  She had to be in full costume for rehearsal so costume, tights and tap shoes were on and we headed to rehearsal.   She did great on stage the first time and had a ton of fun!  She loved seeing the other dances performed.

She was asleep before we could get to rehearsal.

Saturday rolled around pretty quick.  We got up, got ready and then got Miss Emma ready!  It would be my first attempt at doing a bun.  I have to say that it turned out pretty good.  Better than I expected.  After applying a little makeup to include mascara on her gorgeous eyelashes she was ready to dance as  a Pineapple Princess.

We drove to Reagan and at 11am took her back stage to sit with her fellow dancers.  Andy, my parents, Stephanie and even Alexa came to watch our girl dance.  I was so excited for her!  She did great and had a ton of fun doing it!  I got her when she was done and gave her flowers.  Alexa gave her a beautiful flower arrangement along with a pineapple with all sorts of goodies inside.

After the recital we went to grab some lunch at Paula Deen's new restaurant.
