Cash had his last bike rodeo and placed 2nd!
Leon Springs does a Halloween party where the kids can dress up and trick 'r' treat while collecting candy from parents. We could tell Cash is becoming a little "old" for such but E was eating it up....literally.
The 5th graders performed during a PTA meeting. Cash was less than enthused with having to do this hence his lack of performance. Cash does like theatre/acting but singing of any kind is definitely not of interest.
Cash was a part of the LSE News team. He got to give the morning announcements as well as be the videographer. He liked giving the announcements more than anything else.
My dad has joined Cash every Veteran's Day and this year was no different.
I was room mom for Cash's class this year. The 5th grade room moms host the Christmas party for the 5th grade classes. The theme for each is the same and this years game was building a human snowman! Super cute and fun! Emma enjoyed being a part of the festivities.
One of the things I love about LSE is that they truly celebrate Christmas. They had a beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby.
One of this years projects was Science related and Cash had to make a hat out of a word he was given. His word was GLACIER. So he made the glacier below and attached to one of his baseball caps. They had a parade at the school to show off their art work.
Cash always surprises me with his artwork. It's truly a hidden talent. One day he brought a piece of paper home showing a piece of art and the offer to order something like a coffee mug, apron etc with his art work on it. I was blown away at his detail and new exactly what I wanted!
The one pic I did not get this year is Cash while on safety patrol! He enjoyed opening car doors for fellow students. I think he got a kick out of singing how others keep their vehicles up....he would come home telling me how some were super clean and others would have trash falling out as the kids got out. Funny that was something he noticed! He did get a certificate for his hard work.
Cash has had a great year. I can't say he loved LSE as much as he loved Hardy Oak but he adjusted well, made some good friends and has maintained good grades. Overall a good experience....now....on to 6th grade!!!!!
