The hormone injections he received really took a toll on him with respect to fatigue, being extremely weak, no appetite, and just an overall feeling of being ill. The radiation side affects have been minimal accept for the diarrhea. All of this took such a toll that he ended up in the hospital due to dehydration. His body was starting to shut down (liver enzymes up and down/BP extremely low). He was given antibiotics for chronic bronchitis, a ton of fluids and rest. (He has a new Urologist that shared he would have never recommended treatment of any kind. That was hard to hear but we are where we are now...and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.)
In his last week of treatment he is feeling a tad better. His hospital stay/scare helped tremendously. It has been a long 9 weeks but we are at the end and its time to RING THAT BELL!!!!!!
