We started my birthday celebration with a family dinner at PF Chang's. I am the worst in the moment picture taker! I didn't get any pics of me with my parents! We had a nice dinner and then did a little shopping.
My fortune was eerily spot on. In my quest of baptism I met with our Pastor this morning to start those discussions.
Its my 42nd!! The day started out just relaxing around the house. Ben finished painting Emma's room and then we went out for lunch. Emma and I headed to the mall for a bit in the afternoon just before the rain came in. That put a damper on our plans for fireworks and fun at the club but we didn't let that stop us from going out for dinner.
Birthday cards from sweet friends...Yvonne and Norma...
The Saturday after my birthday Ben surprised me with a night away at Lakeway Resort in Austin. It was so pretty! The view of the lake was gorgeous. We had a great time! We had spa appointments, saw a movie (Sicario: Day of Soldado), and had a great dinner!
We had dinner at Steiner Ranch Steak House.
You can barely see it here but the menus have back lighting so if the atmosphere is a little darker you can still see the menu. Very cool feature..especially for those like my dad who get there phone out to use the flash light.
While we were waiting on our dessert we went downstairs to listen to the band and check out the atmosphere. The restaurant is huge! I snapped a pic of this elderly couple dancing. They were just precious and I mean that in the most respectful way. He is a World War II veteran and her hat said Boss! They were just the best dancers and it was so nice to see them, at their age, so active, happy and from I could gather very much in love.
Dessert is served! It was VERY good and worth the wait!
The family sitting across from us ordered the biggest steak they had and it was huge! The three of them shared it!
Spa waiting area...so pretty!
Stiles watched the kids while we were gone and that turned out very eventful. Accidents happen...apparently.
