Being a stay at home mom....a year in

It has been just shy of a year since I officially took on the title of a stay at home mom!  About 6 months ago I would have said I was still torn about this role but now....I LOVE IT!  That doesn't mean there aren't times I don't miss the office environment and most importantly my girls at Carenet...I just love being at home with the kids more!

I have really been able to focus more on Cash, his 2nd grade school year and the entire summer!   I have literally watched Cash mature in so many ways this summer and while I think I would have seen some of that if I was still working outside the home I can honestly say its something I may have missed.

Getting to see all of Emma's firsts after her 1st birthday has been AMAZING!  I have been able to hear her vocabulary grow....not someone else tell me she said something new....and best of all she gets the one on one time she deserves.  That is however a double edge sword because I do think a "daycare/school" environment can be beneficial from the social aspect.  We do see E a little shy with other kids.  While that can be her personality we want to make sure we explore that its not and give the opportunity to be with other children her age....as we have a feeling her big personality will become even bigger....if thats possible.:)

Outside of the kids being at home has allowed me to maintain a better or lets say less chaotic home.   I love being available to the kids and Ben without juggling a "2nd job".

To sum up my first year being at home...I feel beyond blessed and am loving it!
