The magic is gone.....part 1

Cash officially no longer believes.  I'm not sure who's heart it broke more, his or Ben's.  We both really dreaded the day he would no longer believe but Ben seemed to want that part of his innocence to last a little longer.  I felt it was time even though it was hard to believe the time had come.  Cash had been asking some questions over the last year but never really wanted to know.  This year was different.  He knew but wanted me to tell him.  He had to hear it from us.  We waited until Christmas was over and were at the JW for New Years.  It was just the three of us as Emma was with my parents.  So we told him.  He was pretty indifferent.  That's when I knew he was truly ready....mature.  I couldn't have asked for a better scenario and I think Cash would agree.  He is very excited to be Santa for Emma and help create for her all the magic he has had the past 10 years!

My dad's 78th birthday!

My dad celebrated his birthday at the deer lease with my Uncle Eddie this year.  They had some good food and a birthday cake! We had a belated birthday/New Year dinner at Ruth's Chris on New Years Day!

Random Fall pics/events

Just some random Fall pics.  Cash briefly did BMX racing.  We thought it may be something he would get into but it faded.  I can't say I was disappointed but glad he tried it.  I did capture my "I Voted" sticker and the unbelievably long line to vote.  Obviously we are seeing how all of that turned out.  I feel like I take so many random pics and I know we will enjoy looking back at them once I turn this blog into coffee table books.  

Our 11th Anniversary

Our 11 year anniversary.....a great dinner at Ruth's Chris and a movie!  We always say we don't know where the time goes and we still don't but its certainly moments like these where we can appreciate a deep breath.  A time to just take it all in and talk about years past and thoughts for our future.  I love Ben because of the man he is, his dedication to our family, the way he loves me, the father that he is, his heart, his stubbornness, the way he works so hard...too hard most of the time and more than anything how he accepts me for me.  Happy Anniversary to us!

Cash's 1st deer at Chad and Rochelle's ranch

We went down to Chad and Rochelle's ranch for Ben and Cash to hunt.  Cash had a great time and shot his first deer!  He was super excited!!  Outside of killing his first deer with my dad I can't think of a better place for him to do it!  Chad and Rochelle's place is just beautiful and so peaceful!  It was a great time!

Emma's 1st haircut

A big three and a half years old and its time for her first haircut!  I sort of dreaded getting her haircut...not more than her daddy but still very hesitant.  We just love her long hair as its part of who she is.  Not in a vane way....it just is.  Brushing it, washing it or constantly trying to keep it out of her face can be frustrating but all in all she loves it!  Its GORGEOUS!  The natural highlights and lowlights are stunning!  

We wouldn't go anywhere else but to Precision Kuts to see our favorite hair stylist, Cindy Brightman. Emma was excited to get her hair cut and sat very patiently while we took off a couple of inches.  Just a trim!
