Emma's 4th Birthday

Emma wanted to have a Sing themed birthday party at Build-A-Bear for her 4th birthday.  I took some great pics of her to use on a Sing themed invite I found on Etsy and the planning began.  Her birthday week started with a shopping trip with Nana!  The morning of her birthday we let her open gifts from us and then we headed to pick up Giada for a girls day!!  Of course we had bubba there to help us celebrate all day long as she wouldn't have it any other way!

Later that afternoon/early evening we met up at Chick-fil-a at La Cantera, ate, had cupcakes for the birthday girl which sadly melted and then headed to Build-A-Bear for some bear building fun!  I add the part about the cupcakes melting as the kids didn't even notice.  The messier the better and to them they seemed to taste just the same.  Oh to be a kid again!

I think our girl had a great birthday!!

Cash - 4th Grade

We made the very last minute decision to remove Cash from dual language at Vineyard Ranch and put him at Hardy Oak which is his home school.  He was very excited to start 4th grade there and made great friends.  He absolutely loved his teacher Mrs. Little.  She is so sweet and really loved having Cash in her class.  One of the things she always said about Cash is how polite he is and how good his manners are.  Its always nice to hear things like that as its a pulse check that we are doing this child raising stuff pretty good so far.

All things Emma at age 3...almost 4!

Just a few things Emma says that we want to remember when she's 21!

1. Ben shaved his goatee, which Emma noticed immediately, and said "Daddy shaved his bowtique!"
2. She always tells us "you're the best" and "I love you forever".
3. When I lay with her at night I will turn over sometimes with my back facing her and she tells me "turn over so I can see your beautiful face".
4. Ben will tell Emma that I am his wife and she immediately says "No, she is my life!"  We know sooner than later she will catch on to the "wife" thing but for now we love it and don't want her to catch on.
